last saturday night

yo last saturdays show was crazy
i never got time to rehearse with the band
in fact i didn't even get to meet them until an hour before the show
so since i had NO rehearsal and i had to do a 25 min set you know who stepped in the building...

the energy was so fresh and intense because we were all on our toes
the band had to stay open to each other and the crowd
we had to put ultimate trust in each other
the crowd loved it

NE Teen Killed in Hit and Run; Man Arrested in Incident

D.C. police have arrested a man in a hit-and-run accident last night in which a teen on a stolen motorcycle was killed, authorities said today.

The teen, Cortez Durrell Lilly, died after he collided with a pick-up truck at about 10:30 p.m., police said. The incident took place on East Capitol Street, near 55th Street in Northeast.
The driver of the truck fled the scene but was later arrested by police.

Lilly lived in the 5300 block Clay Terrace NE.

friday night aka i HATE jose'

yo i wasn't going to say anything about this...
so friday night i went to sugarhill with my boy duane.
those of you who know me, know that i can occasionally get carried away when i am partying.
anyway
i'm in the club having a fantastic time.
the dj was spinning some cool shit, so i was heavy into my 2 step. (no unk)
we make are way to the bar and i order 2 shots of jose' and 2 coronas.
when the bartender turned to grab the bottle i noticed on the back of her pants was the word TROUBLE.
i should have taken this as a sign, but i kept on rolling.
so 1 hour and 6 trips to see TROUBLE later the story starts to get a little fuzzy.
the last thing i remember was duane and i were at the bar both trying to get at the bartender (no t.pain)
that's about the time things start to get dark....

so the next morning when i awake i realize 10 things
1) i am alive
2) damn my head hurts
3) damn my face feels like shit
4) damn the sun is killing me
5) i have no idea where i am
6) oh shit i am laying outside of the club
7) damn, they got me for my money and my cellphone
8) i can't find duane
9) i HATE jose'
10) last night was crazy (no gnarls)
